| Abstract The study aimed to highlight gender equality in education and achieve sustainable development, the relationship between education and gender equality, the role of education in achieving the fifth goal of sustainable development goals (gender equality), and to provide recommendations and proposals that promote gender equality in education in order to achieve Sustainable development, and the study concluded that gender equality is a major goal of sustainable development goals, and education for sustainable development is the main gateway to achieving the principle of gender equality, and it is necessary to find opportunities, mechanisms and strategies that will achieve gender equality in the field of education, In addition to the need to overcome the difficulties and obstacles that increase discrimination on the basis of gender in education, and the goals of sustainable development can only be achieved through achieving gender equality.
